A genuinely unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work with an amazing, well-established, successful and growing North Yorkshire based business.  Our client is currently seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high quality, confidential, comprehensive and effective assistance to the Executive Chairman.

The successful candidate will offer full administrative and personal support and will run the Chairman's office.  Working collaboratively with other teams throughout the business and with the offices of third parties, the role will also involve complex electronic diary management managing constantly evolving, demanding and complex schedules, and will also be the first point of contact both within the Company and externally, fielding calls, managing inbox and email correspondence.  Other responsibilities will include organising all travel and internal meetings, including collating and circulating all relevant reports including confidential, and sensitive financial documents; organising conference calls, managing personal accounts and settling invoices as well as general support duties and providing support for ad-hoc projects.

The ideal candidate will have excellent team working skills with the ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with a variety of different stakeholders in a commercial environment.  Experience of complex electronic diary management, excellent secretarial skills and an ability to work accurately under sustained pressure in a fast-paced environment and to tight deadlines is essential.  As is the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality, acting with discretion at all times.

As the Chairman’s Executive Assistant, you will be comfortable being available outside of normal UK office hours and have the ability to take initiative and work independently.  You must also have excellent IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, the confidence to communicate at all levels, good interpersonal skills, and an ability to multitask, organise work and exercise a high degree of initiative.  A good standard of written English and a good sense of humour are also required.

It would also be highly advantageous to possess excellent Report Writing experience (Action Notes, Minutes from meetings and so on).  Any formal training received in this area would be desirable.
