HR MANAGER

Castle Employment HR division are working with their North Yorkshire-based client to recruit a HR Manager.

This role will form part of the senior management team, reporting in to the Managing Director, and will provide Generalist HR support to Director level and work in partnership with the HR Manager of another part of the Group.

The key responsibilities of the role will involve:
Resourcing - leading on the end-to-end recruitment process for all opportunities up to management level, participating in the selection process, supporting and coaching Line Managers, as well as developing and maintaining effective relationships with all recruitment suppliers, and developing strategies to minimise recruitment expenditure whilst maximising candidate quality.
Employee Relations - provide advice and guidance in matters of discipline and grievance, providing effective coaching to Line Managers, and ensuring changes to employment legislation are communicated to appropriate
Directors/Line Managers.
Learning & Development - support Line Managers in the process of development and succession planning for
their teams, as well as design, develop and deliver HR specific training programmes as and when required.
Remuneration & Benefits - ensure the company package is competitive, in line with market place/industry averages
and aids employee retention and engagement.
Strategy - create a strong HR service built on professional relationships and integrity, support and develop the HR team, and plan, develop and implement HR strategy across the Group.

Our ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified, and have previous experience in a HR Generalist role (minimum 3 years), with a solid understanding and application of employment law.  It would be advantageous to have previous experience working in an owner managed business.

Additionally, you will need to be competent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, have demonstrable coaching skills, possess previous experience of end to end recruitment, and have previous experience of implementing HR strategy, communication and engagement programmes.
