Our client is a leading manufacturing business based in the Malton area of North Yorkshire.  They currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced standalone HR Generalist (HR Officer) to support the business.  

Reporting to the Head of HR who is based off-site, the business are looking for an experienced HR Officer to support the site on a standalone basis, so this is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a wider HR team as well as autonomously as a Business Partner to employees and the site management team.  Additionally, you will be responsible for providing telephone advice and support to two further UK sites (there may be occasional travel required when face to face support is necessary). 

This is a full generalist HR role which will include the provision of advice and support in relation to employee relations issues, including disciplinaries and grievances, absence and long term sickness cases - including attending meetings and providing support; HR Administration relating to offers, contracts of employment and maintaining employee files and ensuring that the HR database is maintained and kept up to date.  Also, collating data for Payroll purposes. Additionally, the successful candidate will support key stakeholders with recruitment - advising on recruitment processes and coaching, arranging and attending interviews as and when required, as well as managing recruitment agency relationships.

To be considered for this opportunity you will have a minimum of 3 year's HR Generalist experience, ideally gained in a standalone, manufacturing (or similar) environment.  Experience of working in a unionised environment to support employees and managers at all levels is essential.  CIPD qualified, or part qualified, is preferred.
