A unique and exciting HR Advisor opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, results-driven and experienced HR professional based with our client just outside of York.

They now seek to appoint an experienced and motivated HR Advisor to report to the Head of HR and offer guidance and advice across the business, supporting with a variety of duties including the recruitment process, leading the development of L&D and training matters across the business and managing ad hoc people related projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the recruitment process, ensuring that it operates in a smooth and timely manner, Learning & Development, including the annual TNA and delivery of the agreed annual training plan, as well as being responsible for the accurate maintenance of all confidential personnel files, sickness/holiday/training monitoring and recording and dealing with a range of enquiries from the general public, employees and line managers over the telephone, by email and face to face.  Additionally, you will be accountable in the absence of the Head of HR, prepare monthly HR reports and stats, assist in reviewing and updating policies and procedures as required and provide professional employment law and people related advice and guidance to department managers.

So, what do you need to be considered for this fantastic opportunity? Their ideal candidate will be a motivated, articulate and commercially astute HR Generalist with a minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience gained in a fast-paced environment. CIPD or degree within HR qualified, or studying / planning to study towards gaining CIPD.

You will have proven administrative, planning and organisational skills, consistently meeting agreed objectives and taking personal responsibility for getting things done.  Additionally, you will have excellent communication skills and an ability to foster excellent working relationships with key individuals and departments across the business and employees.  The individual we are looking for will also have an ability to prioritise and remain calm while working in a busy, sometimes pressurised environment, possess good IT skills and be proficient in the use of computer packages ideally Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.  You will naturally work supportively and collaboratively within a team as well as alone, exercising good judgement and using your own initiative to find solutions, as well as carry out delicate HR related tasks confidentially and with discretion. Whilst not essential, if you also have a Train the Trainer qualification and previous experience managing recruitment, this will support your application further.
