Our client, McCain Foods, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join the site leadership team at their Scarborough plant.

The McCain brothers founded the company in their hometown of Florenceville, Canada in 1957. McCain created the first ever frozen chip and went on to become the world’s largest manufacturer of frozen potato products.
Today McCain is still family owned, and has grown to 41 production facilities across six continents, employing over 17,000 across the world. That’s a lot of potato experts.
In the UK, they started their business in Yorkshire and they're still there today. They have four McCain factories across the UK, including their head office in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

The role is based in Scarborough and you will report to the Head of HR with a dotted line to the Plant Manager.

As the Human Resources Business Partner you will be responsible for: -
• Offering a full HR service in all areas of employment law and best practice;
• Providing pragmatic and commercial HR generalist support and relationship management to the Scarborough factory and engineering team;
• Leading a small team of HR professionals and driving the people agenda both at a local and regional level;
• The full employee lifecycle, delivering all people activities including resourcing, talent management, organisational development, employee relations, change management, cultural transformation and reward;
• Improving overall performance and employee engagement by building relationships with stakeholders to understand, influence and support on the delivery of strategic aims.

To be a successful Human Resources Business Partner you will have the following skills and experience: -
• Educated to degree level and/or proven track record in a HR role with CIPD or equivalent;
• Previous experience in a similar type of role or Human Resources specialist role within a complex environment;
• Possess strong change management, negotiation and influencing skills;
• Experience of managing change and driving HR initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships and have excellent communication skills;
• Experience within a FMCG and unionised environment would be beneficial.
