Agile Scrum Master Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking an Agile Scrum Master for an opportunity in Charlotte, NC. The Agile Scrum Master is responsible for guiding and coaching the team and organization to follow Agile/Scrum practices and for applying Scrum to achieve business value. He or she will ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, and must be able to lead team to self-organization.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for team progress keenly focused on the activities of the team.
• Along with the Project Manager and Functional Managers, ensure that the development team and business customer have everything they need to succeed, when they need it and will remove impediments to the ability of the team to deliver
• Support and coach the team and Product Owner on Agile/Scrum practices
• Improve transparency and collaboration within the team
• Support the team in defining a vision and strategy for the product
• Manage and facilitate all scrum ceremonies (e.g. Daily Scrum meeting, Release and Sprint Planning, Backlog grooming, Sprint Demos and Retrospectives, etc.) to optimize effectiveness
• Coach the team to assess and sustain agility

Required Skills:

• Experience in a Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team
• Strong skills and knowledge of facilitation, organization, conflict management, project management
• Experience working with a remote team
• Knowledge of Agile approaches – Kanban, Scrum, XP, Lean Agile, etc.
• Knowledge and experience with Agile techniques – Automated Testing, User Stories, Behavior Driven Design, Continuous Integration and Testing
• Knowledge of scaling frameworks like SAFe, DAD, etc. a plus
• Understands backlog grooming, story sizing, burn down metrics, velocity, and task definition
• Ability to communicate effectively to business executives and technology teams
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle
• Motivated and self-directed, with an aptitude for learning
• JIRA experience a plus
• High level understanding of BAC Enterprise Change Standards a plus
• Able to work independently with limited supervision
