Business Analyst – Capital Markets Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Business Analyst with an understanding of Capital Markets for an opportunity in Charlotte, NC. The Business Analyst should have a solid understanding of capital markets/trading products, and experience working closely with Credit Risk Technology, data quality and testing teams.

Qualifications:

• 7 to 10 years of business data analysis within a corporate banking environment
• Critical thinking skills
• Experience in creating business requirements documents involving multiple business (Risk, Middle Office) and technology teams
• Ability to understand/Interpret the regulatory guidelines as outlined in the Basel II and III (BIS) guidelines, especially related to Data Management
• Ability to analyze large amounts of data to understand relevant business controls and stakeholder impact
• Previous experience creating deliverables to satisfy internal and external regulatory requests
• Five years’ experience in data projects and data analytics regarding bank financial markets instruments such as securities, securitizations, or derivatives
• Intermediate SQL coding, data analysis, and troubleshooting skills as well as advanced Excel spreadsheet construction and usage
• Proven ability to execute and deliver against tactical and strategic initiatives through personal efforts as well as influence
• Ability to create a clear, coherent approach to guide effective project set-up, execution, and control
• Proven ability to lead project work efforts, track and assign issues, and coordinate activity across multiple teams and geographies
• Self-starter and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and demands in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical mindset with accuracy to detail and able to remain calm and flexible despite increased demands, changing priorities and uncertain environment
• Ability to author project charters, business requirements, and test plans

Skills and Knowledge Desired:

• Advanced degree level in relevant subject – i.e. Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Accounting
• Experience with Basel regulations in financial markets product category
• Working knowledge and experience with regulatory reporting requirements with a focus on FFIEC 101, FR-Y 9C and FR-Y 14M/Q/A
• Understanding of DMAIC and AGILE delivery processes and methodologies
• Understanding of General Ledger and balance-sheet components related to capital reporting
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Project
