Midwest Life Cycle Management Representative-Underground Mining (NA00974) Illinois, USA
1. Respond to customer requests for advice, guidance and troubleshooting during machine failure. 2. Initiate new and repeat customer contact. 3. Assess customer requirements and assist with specific problems. 4. Participate in price negotiations and assist in preparation of quotes and sales orders. 5. Help warehouse personnel manage consignment inventories. 6. Inspect complete machine rebuilds utilizing approved customer specifications list prior to installation of equipment. 7. Assist customer during installation of new and rebuilt equipment. Train customer personnel on machine operation and conduct on-site training schools for customers. 8. Sell replacement parts after advising customer on appropriate quantity needed to minimize down time. 9. Install retrofits in a timely manner to reduce warranty exposure and to improve machine performance. 10. Advise customer on technical, safety and operational considerations. 11. Provide advice and assistance in resolution of warranty claims.
This position requires minimum of an Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent progrressive experience in machine rebuilds or diagnostics plus 3-5 years of practical experience (underground). The successful candidate will understand Joy mining systems and their application and must possess strong electrical ability and be able to read and interpret all types of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical schematics. Extensive travel and 24-hour availability is required. This position requires residence in the service area.
