Project Controls Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Project Controls Manager for one of our clients 

Terms & Condition: 

Assignment : Direct Hire

Work Location : Dubai, UAE

Work Status / Schedule : Resident, Single. 6 days a week, 8 hours per day

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree of Engineering, with preference to Marine/Civil/Structure discipline;
  • Minimum 20 years’ construction projects experience, possess 15 years of total experience in Middle East or Saudi Arabia, minimum 10 years’ experience in years of prior experience in Project Controls roles or positions related to engineering, procurement, contracts, start-up work processes and construction execution for large-scale, complex projects.
  • Strong experience in PCM of mega infrastructure / marine yard / industrial facility projects involving Design, Engineering, Construction and Commissioning Phase;
  • Familiar with EPC schedule development especially for the construction schedule and has experience by using DCMA 14-point to do the schedule quality check
  • Has experience in 4D BIM and how this will be used during construction to demonstrate progress and forecast as part of weekly progress reporting,
  • Has experience in Quantified Schedule Risk Analysis and project Schedule Sensitivities and Criticalities 
  • Demonstrated in depth experience in construction planning/scheduling, payment progress measurement and estimating
  • Good at Computer skills, Proficient with using MS Office (Excel/PPT/Word/Visio/Project) and Primavera P6

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The project controls manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead, guide and manage the Project planning/scheduling team members and coordinate with other department managers
  • Lead the development of Project Execution Plan, Project Control Plan, Work Breakdown Structure, Progress Measurement System, Baseline Work Schedule, and Daily/Weekly/Monthly Progress Reports for mega EPC project;
  • Monitoring progress and following up the key issues and area of concerns related to project controls;
  • Develop the construction manpower plan and construction equipment plan with proper Productivity Norms and Crew Mixes;
  • Assisting in the vendor/subcontractor selection process for commercial and technical evaluation in the aspects of time schedule, progress measurement and payment terms, resources analysis such as manpower, equipment and material plan;
  • Reviewing contract documents, suggesting changes for planning and programming aspects and supporting the EOT requests
  • Arranging planning workshops/meetings to discuss and assist related stakeholders to close their planning / project control issues.
  • Challenge any claims and EOT requests.
  • Reviewing construction programmes received from subcontractors and analysing them in line with the contractual requirements.
  • Preparing Management Review Presentations for the whole project;
  • Preparing project advice for any site progress / planning concern that may impact site progress.
  • Preparing risk assessment and mitigation plans.
  • Monitoring design, procurement and construction progress for compliance with contract requirements.
