SR. PRESSURE VESSEL ENGINEER

SR. PRESSURE VESSEL ENGINEER (Sr.PVEng) Doha, Qatar

We are currently recruiting for SENIOR PRESSURE VESSEL ENGINEER 

Terms & Condition:

Assignment : Contract Hire (contracted through MPH to work for the company)

Work Location : Doha, Qatar

Duration : 2 years

Work Schedule : Resident Onshore, 5 days a week / 8 hours a day

Accountabilities

  • Assure compliance with Company standards, policies and procedures, of the required quality, completeness and consistency to support delivery of safe and fit for purpose engineered solutions.
  • Ensure all Static Equipment / packages for DBN PWM project and life time extensions are technically compliant, safely and timely completed in accordance with COMPANY policies, process, standards, guidelines & International Standards.
  • Conduct safety/financial prudence in all decisions to deliver best value, technically acceptable solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of professional operational, technical design and safety knowledge.
  • Provide advice in the field of Static Equipment / packages to the wider COMPANY community.

Job Dimensions

  • Technically manage and coordinate the Static Equipment Engineering content of multi-discipline.
  • Carry out studies from FEED to Detailed & Installation Engineering by supervising Engineering contractors teams.
  • Liaise as required with COMPANY’s shareholders, TRPs, FOPS and C&P.
  • Develop specifications for design / materials procurement according to COMPANY / International standards.
  • Evaluate and approve Production Facilities drawings and designs, installation schemes, layouts, materials take-off.
  • Liaise continuously with other COMPANY entities and more particularly OPS/FOPS, HSEQ, CPD and C&P in order to ensure that team capabilities and capacities are in line with COMPANY FDPs, or otherwise propose solutions to achieve these plans. Attend HAZID/HAZOP safety reviews to provide technical input in relation to PVV activities and HSE requirements.

Activities

  • Ensure and promote the application of COMPANY HSE and Safety Engineering rules and specifications.
  • Ensure that contractors comply at all times with safety rules, taking actions as required in case of disregards.
  • Promote safety culture within COMPANY personnel and contractors as well as reporting of anomalies.
  • Define, specify and carry out necessary technical studies in order to propose robust and optimized technical solutions for DBN PWM project.
  • Ensure technical compliance of the contractors with project specifications and requirements.
  • Lead/participate in technical review of the bidders’ proposals and prepare technical recommendations accordingly.
  • Review and approve Static Equipment engineering deliverables received from Contractors for FEED / Detailed Engineering.
  • Contribute to verification that all engineering design, procurement and construction activities comply with COMPANY safety, quality and cost objectives.
  • Development of COMPANY particular project guidelines and procedures.
  • Promote and support innovation and cost reduction initiatives in the piping discipline.
  • Develop detailed FFS reports and repair procedures for required static equipment.
  • Perform site visits when required for the planning and execution of a Construction activity.
  • Define, specify and carry out necessary technical studies in order to propose robust and optimized technical solutions. Participate to development of scope of work, cost estimates, budgets, and technical dossiers for CFTs for related activities.
  • Participate in the supervision of offshore survey campaigns to ensure technical compliance of the contractors with the Contract(s).
  • Interface with Procurement Dept., COMPANY Engineering & Construction entities for engineering related issues.
  • Participate in KOM with contractors, JRA/work permits meetings in liaison with FO entity.
  • Report to Brownfield team on a weekly basis and when decisions impacting E&C activities must be taken.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Minimum Qualification: B.Sc. in Mech. Engineering.
  • Chartered engineer status is preferred.
  • Recognized expertise in the field of Static Equipment engineering of oil & gas facilities, in particular within the field of equipment modifications, strength calculation an Fitness for Service assessment.
  • 12+ years’ of experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in offshore oil and gas industry both in brown and green field project environment.
  • Good sense of team spirit, peer leadership, strong interpersonal / soft communication skills.
