Civils & Infrastructure works - Work Package Manager (WorPacMngr) Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Terms & Condition:

Assignment : Contract Hire (contracted through MPH to work for the company)

Work Location : Dubai, UAE

Duration : 6 to 12 months with the option to hire them after 12 months

Work Status : Resident

JOB OBJECTIVE : 

To manage the suppliers, bid input and design definition for Civils requirements & technical shelters for Rail Bid & Project

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • To act as the regional lead for the Work package relating to the Civils & telecommunications shelter construction for a Rail System Solution.
  • The job holder will report to the Middle East Engineering Director.
  • The role will provide local representation at customer and supplier meetings, working with project stakeholders including bids and procurement teams to define the requirements of the bid.
  • On appointment of the project, the role will manage all aspects of the work package.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with contract management, cost and work package management in a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in the management of technical & Civils scope with industrial subcontractors.
  • Experience with project management, technical requirements and coordination of works between companies.

The Work Package Manager will:

  • Prepare related supplier RFP documents and develop an engineering solution for the civils and transportable infrastructure shelters and masts for a telecomunication solution.
  • Prepare requirements documentation for the establishment of temporary offices & labour camps in remote locations.
  • Prepare the definition of engineering deliverables during the project.
  • Manage design and installation subcontracts in line with the objectives of the Bid/Project.
  • To act as technical interface between the bid and project organisation and the subcontractors/ customer in terms of meetings, reports and communications.
  • Provide the Business Unit with an assessments of risks & Issues that may impact the assigned work package or project generally.
  • Comply with Design Develop and Qualification of the Solution requirements and any tailored requirements in the use of the Engineering Environment.
  • Liaise with the project manager and the head of the systems engineering discipline, for all aspects related to his/her work package.

Conduct all work package activities (including those relating to risks and opportunities) to reach completion of the project regarding its technical, industrial, financial and schedule objectives aligned with the project / bid management functions.

QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • 10+ years experience.
  • Industrial experience in a Civils Engineering environment, ideally related to Telecommunications systems and architecture.
  • Understanding of civils and telecommunications infrastructure using remote shelters, generator sets and antenna masts.
  • Degree qualified in an engineering discipline.

PREFERRED SKILLS :

  • Experience in working with the telecommunications mechanical installations, through working within the UAE with existing suppliers.
  • Understanding of generator sets and HVAC systems
  • Rail related systems experience preferred.
  • Understanding of Telecommunications infrastructure requirements.
