Driver Trainee:

The HT Group is now hiring Driver Trainees for the largest wholesale distributor of roofing materials in the country. This role is designed to build experience with delivery vehicles. Candidates have the opportunity to be converted to delivery drivers upon permanent hire.

Responsibilities:

• Complete thorough load checks on all trucks before leaving the facility
• Assist with loading/ unloading delivery trucks
• Securing loads to ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations
• Assist drivers with safe and efficient deliveries to job sites
• Assist with unloading product onto rooftops
• Complete and file all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid CDL – Class B
• Straight and/or conveyor truck experience
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops
• Keen attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and excellent customer service skills
• Strict adherence to safety policies and regulations
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen upon offer
