Pipefitter (1471) Marinette, Wisconsin
Responsibilities: Assemble & secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, & threading joints. Attach pipes to walls, structures & fixtures, using brackets, clamps, or welding equipment. Cut & bore holes in structures using hand & power tools/radius torch. Cut & thread pipe to specifications. Inspect, examine, and test installed systems & pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods. Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, & related equipment, following blueprints. Measure & mark pipes for cutting and threading. Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, related machines and equipment using hand and power tools. Must be familiar with bending pipe using hand benders & similar devices. Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair. Select pipe sizes and types and related materials, such as supports, hangers. Applicant must be able to pass vertical & horizontal brazing tests for the following material: CuNI to bronze (insert ring), Steel to CuNI, & Copper to Copper.
Required:High School diploma/GED, able to read pipe spool schematics, work at heights & in confined spaces, able to read blueprints, tape measure, pressure gauge, level, & square, have basic math skills, torch and grinding skills, able to work all 3 shifts & in inclement weather, must be US Citizen, & able to pass skill test. Applicants with 3+ years of experience preferred.
