SENco (Secondary) Specialist Teacher

SENco (Secondary) Specialist Teacher (RL6360) North Yorkshire, England

Castle Education are looking for SENco Secondary Teaching specialists to work within North Yorkshire primary and secondary schools which are located near the beautiful Yorkshire Coast. The roles are part time and temporary and would be supporting children to make progress in their learning as part of thriving and highly recommended schools. If you are a natural leader with specialist SENco skills and a passion for learning and supporting learners to achieve success through learning then these roles would be ideal for you.

In these roles you would be responsible for leading the SEND provision within the school. This would involve working closely with staff, senior management, parents and external agencies to effectively implement special arrangements to meet specific learner needs. You would also be able to lead a TA team throughout the school, including timetabling, organising training as appropriate, running weekly TA meetings and completing Appraisals. A key aspect of the role involves checking through class provision maps and data to ensure that pupils on the Inclusion register are making good progress.

The role is extremely important and recognised and the schools offer a friendly and supportive team committed to inclusive practice and British Values, strong local network links and a dedicated office area within the schools.

Requirements for these roles:

  • SENco experience
  • Teaching experience and qualifications
  • Leadership experience 

It would also be desirable to have the National Award for SEN Co-ordination.
