Welding Tutor and Programme Leader

Welding Tutor and Programme Leader (RL5014) Scarborough, England

Castle Education are looking to recruit a Welding Teacher to support the next generation of welders in learning this remarkable trade.

The role is full time and would involve working for a local Further Education provider with excellent reputation in relation to developing vocational skills. The role would involve leading the programme and qualifications to take learners through the learner journey from applications to certifications and it would involve planning, delivery and assessment of the specification in line with the awarding body and industry standards. You must be eligible to work in the UK and successful placement will be subject to being granted or holding a valid DBS. 

As a Welding Programme Leader, you will be confident in the use and maintenance of relevant tools and equipment and will be confident with Health and Safety legislation. You will also be experienced as a welder and able to demonstrate the relevant skills and techniques associated with current practices.

In this role are also responsible for leading the course team to drive a high-quality learner experience through all stages of the learning journey; and take responsibility for collating reviewing and disseminating, all aspects of learner progress. To be successful as a Programme Leader you must be approachable, self-motivated and possess high levels of empathy. You must be an excellent negotiator and able to use your initiative to solve problems, often involving different stakeholders. 

In return for your experience and skills, benefits include an annual salary of between £25,000 to £31,000, pension membership (TPS), access to a wide range of other Group benefits and opportunities for career and personal development progression.
