Building Better Opportunities - Key Worker (BBO812) Scarborough, England

Castle Education are seeking to appoint a Key Worker (BBO) for a reputable national organisation based in East and North Yorkshire. This role will entail working with individuals with autism and related conditions who are accessing the Building Better Opportunities Programme. 

You will be home based but will be required to travel within the North and East Yorkshire area where your main goal will be to improve the life opportunities for a range of individuals with autism, including progression into employment and/ or education.

This role will involve delivering a range of interventions to support adults with autism to progress towards positive outcomes. This could include employment, education, training or positive progression towards job search activities. The support will be very person-centred to ensure a range of needs is met over a set period. You will be expected to assess individual needs/goals and set plans for each person referred to the programme developing support based on these needs.  

You will be home based travelling to various sites within the East and North Yorkshire area so having your own vehicle and a full driving licence is essential.

The role will require supporting individuals at all stages of their journey towards education/employment from engagement and confidence building through to developing employability skills and also supporting individuals in the workplace as a job coach where necessary.  This will be a very varied role, therefore the individual needs to be pro-active and has a flexible approach to their job role. 

The organisation's training enterprise team is constantly developing new projects and you will be involved in developing ideas for these projects and have the opportunity to be involved in delivering elements of new projects as and when funding is secured.

This role is part Big Lottery, Part ESF funded under the ATI project delivery for BBO Provision.
