Are you a qualified and experienced Artist and Teacher with a real interest in educating and sharing your passion for Art.

Castle Education is currently looking for a Programme Leader in Art and Design with extensive industry experience from August through to October 2017 in the beautiful seaside town of Scarborough. 

We are working with a large, innovative and dynamic Further Education organisation to appoint a Hairdresser to lead courses including apprenticeships and vocational training courses for budding young hairdressers. Applicants should ideally have a teaching qualification and a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification. You must be eligible to work in the UK and successful placement will be subject to being granted or holding a valid DBS. 

As an Art teacher you will be responsible for facilitating projects and assignments in-line with Degree Modules and other specifications. You will be required to have a variety of art skills and experience across 3D, Sculpture, Drawing, Computer Design to name a few and you will have a real appreciation for Art History to be able to offer lectures in this field relevant to the qualification (levels 3-7).

You will have a proven track records of providing an excellent experience to learners through exemplary teaching and learning to support standards of assessment.  You are also responsible for leading the course team to drive a high quality learner experience through all stages of the learning journey; and take responsibility for collating reviewing and disseminating, all aspects of learner progress.

To be successful as a Programme Leader you must be approachable, self-motivated and possess high levels of empathy. You must be an excellent negotiator and able to use your initiative to solve problems, often involving different stakeholders. 

Experience of teaching learners from the age of 18 to level 7, so a proven track record of varied level delivery is a bonus.
