Castle Education are currently seeking a Lab Technician to work within a thriving Education environment in North Yorkshire.
Working within a Science and Engineering department you would be required to oversee the operation, organisation, maintenance, safety and security of laboratories and classrooms where practical work takes place. You will support the teaching of Biological, Chemical and Human Sciences programmes, however you will also support Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic Engineering activities and support the super-lab which is used by Science and Engineering students.
This is a great opportunity to work with students and support them and the staff with the delivery of high quality learning.
The role is a 6-month contract full time paying a competitive salary.
Qualifications and experience required: -
HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
GCSE Math and Science at grade C or above, or equivalent.
Relevant Lab and Associated Technical Activities professional qualification.
It would also be desirable to have a Health and Safety qualification
