Teacher - Support workers

Teacher - Support workers (SWT09) Scarborough, England

Castle Education are currently looking to identify individuals who wish to persue a rewarding role supporting people with learning difficulties and disabilities in an activity centre. Teachers or teaching assistants are ideal candidates for this role as they will have the necessary transferable skills to apply in this role. The role also does support holidays and can provide the option for additional income.

The role is very flexible and can work around other commitments and involves facilitating social activities and providing support to vulnerable children and adults. The role will include group and team work and also one to one care and the ability to be flexible and adaptable will be essential. 

The role is within Scarborough area for a local charitable organisation who support service users to access services to promote independence and well being. The client also offers rest bite and a safe environment for the development and growth of service users with a range of disabilities and other related conditions.

Requirements of the role:

Valid DBS Enhanced Adult Workforce on the update service

2 References - One of which is related to working in a related area.

ID checks in line with meeting standards set by safer recruitment and other compliance checks made by Castle Education

Desirable:

Valid Safeguarding Certificate

Care related training and expertise e.g Paediatric First Aid

SEN experience

You must be approachable, friendly and outgoing and have a real passion for helping people.
