HR Advisor

HR Advisor (15248507/001) Northampton, England

HR Advisor – Northampton – Initially 3 Months - £130-£200pd
Advantage Resourcing are currently working with a leading public sector organisation who are actively recruiting for a HR Advisor to deliver HR advice in line with best practice.

The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A HR qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience of working with local or central government is highly desirable
- Experience in a HR generalist role
- A strong understanding of HR policies and procedures and employment legislation
- Excellent writing and report writing skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
- Strong IT skills
- The ability to working to tight deadlines

The role will hold responsibilities such as:
- Building relationships with services to promote HR services and effectiveness
- Providing advice and guidance to managers and staff on all operational HR issues (including recruitment, discipline, grievance, performance management, HR policies and procedures and employment legislation and HR best practice)
- Ensuring Employee Relations activity is recorded accurately through the Case Management System
- Contributing to the development of HR guidance and processes including implementation and compliance
- Supporting HR Business Partners in the preparation of Tribunal and Employee Relations paper work
- Working with customers to promote equality and diversity, in the recruitment, management and development of staff.
- Producing and presenting workforce information to managers utilising Electronic Staff Records
- Preparing reports on any aspect of Human Resources management for presentation at meetings
- Advise and working in partnership with all levels of management on disciplinary, grievance and sickness management issues, procedures and best practice, ensuring that matters are resolved effectively and in a timely manner
