gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Continuous Improvement Manager to work at their facility based in Hertfordshire.
The role would suit a someone looking for an opportunity to make a lasting impact within a varied manufacturing environment. The company also offer excellent progression opportunities along with support in development.
Performance Objectives
- Work with the engineering team to identify and implement improvement opportunities throughout the business.
- Liaison with the business unit and other plants to bring technology and best practices to the location.
- Be a catalyst for change.
- Actively support operations by defining and implementing a continuous improvement system
- Lead, teach and execute complex continuous improvement projects
- Create and Co-ordinate a 5 year plan to lower waste and drive efficiency
- Facilitate, educate and document improvement problem solving workshops.
- Drive systems and process improvements
- Provide analysis to help focus the organization.
- Interfacing with other parts of the global business to develop systems that are well synchronized.
Person Specification
- A degree or equivalent in any Engineering discipline,
- Certified Lean and Six Sigma practitioner, trainer and mentor
- Strong management/ operational experience
- Proven experience in leading and implementing Lean in a manufacturing/engineering corporate environment
- Management experience.
- Systems and Process Orientation
- Manufacturing experience preferably in a low volume environment.
- Understanding of continuous Improvements tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Lean, Kaizen and 5S
- Strong understanding of Change Management.
