We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Lab Technician. This key position will be based in our new test lab facilities located in Valencia, CA, with some travel to manufacturing operations in Sylmar, CA. reporting to the Test Lab Supervisor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Setup displays & perform test procedures per test request.
- Take & record test data from test request
- Provide status of ongoing tests
- Safely operate basic hand and power tools
- Fabricate prototype samples and test setups.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of test lab areas
- Purchase materials for tests from local merchants
- Read & interpret drawings & blueprints
- Write up test reports in standard format
Key Competencies:
- Physical able to setup, run test, and write up reports
- Safely run & operate test lab equipment
- Ability to make decisions and work independently without supervision
Education:
Requires a High School degree, 2 year technical degree a preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Computer Literate and knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook , MS Explorer.
- Basic mathematical abilities
- Good Communication skills
- Ability to draw and interpret drawings
- Work with and understand test lab equipment and hookup
- Operate Fork lift ( optional)
