Fantastic British heritage brand, looking for an experienced merchandiser to join their head office team in South London.
My client is a UK brand steeped in history and heritage, long established on the UK high street, they are have expanded overseas and now have a huge global following. Offering exquisite products from womenswear to sofas, lighting to dog accessories. They are looking for an experienced merchandiser and assistant merchandisers to join their team in their quirky South London Office.
As part of the merchandising team you will sit in the fashion department, responsible for accessories, in all distribution channels, retail, internet and mail orders. As an integral member of the team you will be establishing the parameters that ensure ranges are meeting strategic objectives. Creating weekly plans by category for sales, stocks and markdowns be reviewing performances. Overall management of sales and stock; maximising profit and minimising slow selling stock.
My client is a brand with a global following, however as part of this team you will be warmly welcomed into the brand. They are strong believers in developing from within and succession planning great talent. They will look at an experienced Assistant Merch, looking for that next step up.
YOU MUST HAVE:
• Merchandise experience working within a retail environment - from Assistant Merchandiser to Merchandiser.
• Experience within the retail industry. *home/furniture desirable.
• Knowledge of using WSSI.
• People management experience.
• Supplier management.
• Analytical thinker, forecasting, planning and allocating experience.
DESIRABLE BEHAVIOURS
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Team management.
• Ability to communicate at a senior level.
• A strong eye for detail.
• Ability to manage the process from start to finish.
• Experience working in a similar role.
