Weatherford is currently recruiting for a Location Manager in Nisku, AB to support our Drilling Tools division.

The Branch Location Manager is responsible for the operational and field activities of the Product Line, and personnel. The manager has the overall responsibility, to oversee and direct all facets of the branch operations including issue’s pertaining to operations, staffing, HR strategic planning, QHSE requirements, strategic growth plans, budget targets, customer development, employee development, training, and direction.

Primary Responsibilities
Operations

  •     Assist Sr. Operations manager in overseeing and coordinating rentals field operations and activities with all sub branch locations
  •     Attend Operations meetings as required
  •     Conduct Field Operations meetings as required
  •     Act as a resource by being accessible for on call after regular office hours including weekends for any operational activities or support required. Assign and communicate back up if not available
  •     Assist in the development of annual product line plans, strategies, budgets and performance targets. Set strategic direction and execute strategic plan for Field Operations
  •     Assist in the development of annual budget and FOP for field operations
  •     Work closely in as a functional team member with the Applications groups
  •     Provide support to senior personnel; make recommendations, problem resolution, and assistance as required


Management

  •     Maintain daily open communications with personnel
  •     Aid in maintaining current records for all field and shop personnel’s training and development needs are identified and they participate in training programs that will help them achieve required skills and abilities to perform job at current level expectations as well as progress to next levels
  •     Participate in personnel recruitment and retention for field operations
  •     Provide input in the development and maintenance of position descriptions for self and staff to ensure they are current for the positions
  •     Hold staff performance reviews on a regular basis, set objectives and follow up on outcomes
  •     Provide feedback to Senior Management with respect to employee performance issues
  •     Encourage correct employee behavior, lead by example practicing Weatherford’s policies and procedures
  •     Promote products and services offered by Rentals and other product lines
  •     Promote continuous improvement, act and follow up on suggestions and ideas of staff
  •     Perform field audits as required to observe Rentals field operations
  •     Oversee manufacturing and modification of Rental field equipment
  •     Review customer quotes to ensure proper equipment and pricing
  •     Review and monitor field operations revenue from field tickets
  •     Ensure QHSE and strategic targets to be met
  •     Ensure training and development programs are implemented carried out
  •     Attend and participate in monthly QHSE safety meetings
  •     Assist in the communication of QHSE objectives, policy statement, mission statement and HSE roles, responsibilities and key objectives status on an annual basis
  •     Ensure QHSE Mandatory Training Requirements (including Contractor Management) are in compliance
  •     Meet or exceed budget targets, business objectives
  •     Report short falls to senior management
  •     Maintain excellent customer relations


General

SKILLS

  •     Solid field experience in the services and application of Rentals, Slickline and Wireline equipment, tools and operations
  •     Previous experience in planning, coordination and logistics of Product line projects
  •     Minimum of 5 years field experience preferably in the products/services listed above
  •     Proven leadership skills
  •     Supervisory experience with the ability to lead in a field operational environment
  •     Able to deal successfully with high pressure working conditions
  •     Sound judgment and decision making skills are essential
  •     Strong organizational skills
  •     Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
  •     Superior customer service skills
  •     Good MS Office skills, working knowledge of JDE an asset
  •     Post secondary diploma or degree preferred
  •     Valid driver’s license
  •     This position is considered a safety sensitive position and qualified candidates will be required to pass a Pre-employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Test
