The COROD Applications Engineer or Technologist will provide technical recommendations and support to our global customer base, ranging from completing rod string designs using industry software tools to conducting comprehensive root cause analyses pertaining to reported failures and non-conformances. The successful candidate will also support the continuous improvement objectives of the COROD product line as directed by the Global Product Line Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

  •     Provides technical support for COROD continuous rod products and accessories
  •     Prepare detailed technical reports related to RRP and PCP application reviews and root cause analyses
  •     Provide technical sales support for Weatherford COROD Global operation locations
  •     Develop extensive knowledge around the various COROD product offerings and applications within the industry to be able to technically market the product


   
SKILLS

  •     Bachelor degree in Engineering preferred; or Engineering Diploma
  •     Studies relating to Petroleum Engineering
  •     Minimum of 2 years experience with upstream oilfield operations
  •     Previous Reciprocating Rod Pumping experience
  •     Project management knowledge / skills
  •     Demonstrates above average communication skills both verbal and written
  •     Exposure delivering customer presentations
  •     Ability to work within a team environment
  •     Advanced interpersonal skills; required to effectively work with internal resources and external customers
  •     Must be willing to travel both inside and outside of Canada
  •     Successful completion of a pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test
