Weatherford is currently recruiting for a Dispatcher based in Lloydminster, AB to support our Fishing and Re-entry Division.  This position supervises the Fishing Tool and Wireline Operators, ensuring that the operators receive the proper assignments, tools, and support necessary to get the work done in a timely fashion and as economically as possible without sacrificing safety and quality.

Primary Responsibilities

  •     Assess customers needs and provide solutions
  •     Coordinate job needs and shop techs
  •     Liaise with Fishing Tool or Wireline Operator when job tools ready
  •     Ensures operator understanding and verify equipment before it leaves the shop
  •     Organizes and arranges shipping of equipment
  •     Collects morning report from field operators
  •     Ensures all paperwork is accurate
  •     Communicate problems that can be detrimental
  •     Establish and maintain good customer relations
  •     Participate in required job and HSSE Training
  •     Inputs job information into JETS job and employee tracking system
  •     Be available for rotational on call shifts 
  •     Carries out all duties in accordance with the company’s health and safety policies and procedures, and, in a manner which reflects safety as the company’s first priority


  •     Drilling, service rig or DHT experience an asset
  •     Previous Management/Supervisory experience preferred
  •     Good communication skills both verbal and written
  •     Build and create strong customer relationships
  •     Effective time management skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  •     Ability to work independently and work well in a team environment
  •     Knowledge of JDE or SAP an asset
  •     High School Diploma or equivalent work experience will be considered
  •     Valid driver’s license and a clean abstract
  •     Successful completion of a pre-employment medical, drug & Alcohol test
