JOB SCOPE
A senior level sales position, this person is focused on the sale of Iron Derrickman® products to drilling contractors both on and offshore. This is a newly commercialized product, so the ability to analyse industry safety data and present a compelling case to large groups and at conferences is a key requirement. The prime directive is to achieve revenue targets throught he sale and rental of IDMan products.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  •     Identify, quantify, qualify and develop product sales opportunities by presenting, negotiating, and closing
  •     Maintain a regular call program to increase visibility and acceptance of IDL Products
  •     Implement sales strategies as directed by the Business Unit Manager, including written target account plans for major clients
  •     Manage existing accounts to grow market share
  •     Prepare written Client Visit Reports for all significant customer activities
  •     Respond in a timely manner to quotation and/or information requests
  •     Contribute to, and maintain group contact database
  •     Identify overseas sales opportunities & communicate to appropriate IDL representative
  •     Report weekly quotation activity, and upcoming opportunities
  •     Participate in forecasting, budgeting and cost control
  •     Present IDL products and services trade conferences
  •     Liaison with IDL service department and the customer to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  •     Bring resolution to customer issues
  •     Collection of past due accounts from assigned customers
  •     Identify product development & new commercial opportunities and communicate same to management
  •     Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
  •     Understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford
  •     Carry out work assignments to the highest quality level
  •     Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job



Essential

  •     5+ years experience in senior product or service sales
  •     Strong concept selling abilities - safety vs bottom line financial benefits
  •     Demonstrated, measurable sales success
  •     Self motivation and organizational skills
  •     Excellent presentation skills
  •     Excellent problem solving and negotiating skill
  •     Computer skills - MS Office, contact management and quotation software
  •     Concept selling skills - eg: convince a drilling contractor to  purchase based on safety improvements not productivity gains
  •     Occasional rig visits for product demonstration purposes
  •     Willingness to travel
  •     The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations
  •     flexibility


Preferred

  •     College degree
  •     Drilling industry sales experience
  •     Demonstrated contact network, with established credibility amongst IDL client base
  •     Strong analytical skills to convert industry safety data to a compelling reasons to buy the product
  •     Sound technical knowledge of rigs and equipment
  •     Basic hydraulics knowledge
  •     Basic electronics and rig network communication awareness
