Program Mgr Global Finance (LEX008B7) Dayton, Ohio

The position of Program Manager – Global Finance will report into the Legal and Professional (L&P) Global Program office.  This position will be the overall Program Manager for the Legal & Professional (L&P) Global Finance Process & Systems which is being enabled by the DRIVE (Enterprise Business Systems Upgrade) Program.  They will be responsible and accountable for setting up the overall program, compilation and agreement of business case.  They will manage the delivery of a number of specific projects or work streams as part of this program through to completion. 

Accountabilities

1.       1. Establish the Global Program, including detailed tasks per project and work streams

2.       2. Responsible for working the business case through to completion

3.       3. Establish overall program and project governance

4.       4. Delivery of key interdependent projects and work streams against a global program

5.       5. Tracking and reporting of multiple complex projects, 6+, into the program board and managing dependencies between the projects

6.       6. Matrix management of multiple global virtual teams to deliver the common goals of the Program. 

        This will also include direct management of project assigned resources and external consultants and third party service providers 

        This will involve working with teams across time zones

7.       7. The day-to-day management of Projects or specific work streams through to their successful delivery, in line with the agreed schedule, quality and budget

8.       8. Establish and track Project and work stream resource requirements and set-up team

9.       9. Responsible and accountable for tracking of Program Plan throughout the lifecycle of project.    

      10. Tracking of overall budget in relation to the Program

11   11. Working with project leads for multiple projects to track progress, dependencies, finances and identify risks and issues

12  12. Management of Project and work stream requirements

13   13. Day-to-day management of a number of key projects related to the delivery of the strategic Global Finance Systems & Process Program of works through to successful delivery

14   14. Ensure a common reporting strategy, communication plan for this program is in line with the overall DRIVE Program

15   15. Work with the Global Project Managers, Project Leaders, Subject Matter Experts and Leadership to assist them in coordination, issue and risk management, resource constraints and any other joint effort to ensure this program and the overall DRIVE Program are aligned

16   16. Ensure there is a high level of Global Coordination to assist in the implementation

17   17. Ensure a strong issue management component is included with this initiative

18  18. Provide strong leadership to negotiate solutions and agreements with affected functional areas as appropriate

Responsibilities:

1. Managing large scale application development and business transformation projects within Finance

·         2. Experience of PeopleSoft and the Hyperion landscape

·         3. Previous Experience in working within a global program governance

·         4. Matrix managing projects with multiple global virtual teams – inc. facilitating cross-time zone discussions and decision making, working with third parties

·         5. Compilation and agreement of business case

·         6. Creating global delivery plans; outlining regional tasks, deliverable and timelines

·         7. Working on multi-phased projects with re-planning based on lessons-learned

·         8. Negotiating timescales and resources with global delivery teams

·         9. Tracking budgets, progress and finances across multiple interdependent projects

·         10. Promoting of benefits of project management principles to senior stakeholders and within a larger program

·         11. Working with senior stakeholders to understand objectives and needs and to negotiate consensus

·         12. Managing dependencies between projects and with other program of activity in progress

·         13. Coordination with a Global Change management team with some responsibilities within the program

·         14. Planning, monitoring and estimating skills

·         15. Budget management

·         16. Risk & issue management

·         17. Management of systems development and implementation

1. BA/BS required

·         2. Minimum of 7-10 years of re-engineering and/or change experience with demonstrated ability to plan, lead and successfully deliver major change initiatives

·         3. Specific experience of Procure to Pay and Record to Report is required

·         4. Functional knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials and Hyperion is not specifically required but would be a distinct advantage

·         5. Previous experience of assisting in the Operationalization of a Finance Shared Service function and working effectively with their offshore partners

·         6. Role will be based in the U.S. but 25% - 35% travel is expected

·         7. Demonstrated ability to build a positive and proactive culture which encourages change

·         8. Strategic thinking and implementation skills

·         9. Proven ability to influence staff at all levels, drive meaningful change results and develop/execute formal change management programs

·         10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment, deliver quickly and adapt to changing demands

·         12. Ability to cultivate strong collaborative working relationships and contacts within work group, across other company functions and with external organizations

·         13. Deep understanding and experience of using Prince2, Agile Scrum and MSP

·         14. Strong analytic skills

·         15. Strong background and advanced skills in using Microsoft Project

·         16.Strong Program and Project management experience leading large cross functional projects
