Enterprise Architect – Data Governance

Enterprise Architect – Data Governance (LEX0070M) Dayton, Ohio

Contribute to the definition of the Enterprise Architecture.  Communicate / evangelize the architecture (principles, policies, standards and patterns) to development groups, business groups and customers; govern adherence to the architectural “Golden Rules”, with a specific emphasis on content and data.
Accountabilities
1.      Perform baseline logical reviews on key system, content, data, and process assets. This role will specifically focus on content assets and data assets, but also cover software assets and process assets as needed.
2.      Create and maintain a comprehensive governance architecture for the Enterprise Conceptual Information Model, Content Assets, and Data Assets.
3.      Ensure governed assets adhere to architectural principles and “Golden Rules”
4.      Ensure governed assets release on time and function properly in the field
5.      Work with Domain Architects as key interaction point for communication, evangelism, governance and feedback into central architecture
6.      Work with Business / Product Strategy in order to stay up to date with business / product direction in order to anticipate long-lead-time technology needs.
7.      Work with peers within other enterprise information management pillars to develop and maintain business strategy, policies, standards and guidelines pertaining to global enterprise information
8.      Ensure information model, Assets (e.g., content and data), governance architecture and program are aligned to the business goals across the company and the various business units.
9.      Work with Research to understand where new technology / innovation might solve upcoming business problems
10.  Work with external vendors to understand / communicate vendor technology strategy in the context of our architecture to know where they ‘fit’ and what might be coming in the future.

 

 

1.      Proficient in business data architecture and product content architecture.
2.      Experience leading / directing Enterprise Data Governance, Master Data Management, Enterprise Data Modeling, and/or Enterprise Information Management.
3.      Experience leading / directing Enterprise Content Governance, Content Architecture
4.      Ability to synthesize business requirements with the direction of technology to generate new ideas and inventions
5.      Ability to communicate complicated technology concepts in a manner which is understandable in terms of business impact so that business decisions can be made.
6.      Ability to interact across all levels of management
7.      Proven ability to simultaneously execute multiple programs in a demanding environment with frequently changing requirements and technical conditions
8.      Excellent communication skills (written and/or verbal) to explain an idea and inspire support for it.
9.      Experience of leading complex projects and customer relationships
10.  Experience of managing change and technological innovation
11.  Understanding of LexisNexis business objectives and how technology can support these goals
12.  Ability to define and implement technology strategy such that we can reduce the number of similar technologies and consolidate on standards.
13.  Ability to abstract and generalize such that common patterns can be extracted from the implementation “noise”
14.  Willingness to take risk.
