Position Summary:

Acting on own initiative, the Business Relationship Manager is responsible for support and configuration of SAP ECC and internal ERP Systems, highly specialized applications, managing business needs analysis and related application development efforts. Design and construct interfaces and implement procedures to achieve corporate integration strategy. Manage systems upgrades and installations, coordinate resources, creating and maintaining project plans, mitigating project risks and making sure the project is on track and within budget. This experience will include system requirements gathering and conceptual application design.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in managing all phases of systems development including development planning, requirements analysis, input to database design, testing, implementation, and documentation of applications
  • Tracks project milestones and deliverables
  • Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Communicates regularly with internal and external customers in order to ensure the delivery of high quality systems and application documentation
  • Understands the role of the department in the overall corporate strategy and planning and set objectives that are aligned with this role
  • Works as liaison between departments to support IT project completion and to meet business needs
  • Identifies gaps in core competencies and effectively uses development strategies to build needed business and application knowledge, skills, and abilities within the group
  • Acts as a business consultant to team members during system development
  • Seeks and takes advantage of opportunities to expand knowledge of departmental operations beyond normal requirements or expectations
  • Identifies and acts upon opportunities to improve communications at all levels and in all directions
  • Displays an excellent ability to facilitate cross-functional communication including the ability to identify and resolve conflict
  • Solicits feedback and evaluates and monitors client or customer satisfaction to improve the quality of services
  • Understands system validation and documentation in a regulatory environment

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics or a computer-related field
 
Experience: 4 or more years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience with Intel-based servers (Windows Server) and personal computers (Windows XP & Vista), and network peripherals.
 
Knowledge: Solid knowledge of application development, and security procedures.
SAP and CRM experience highly preferred; HCM desired
Proficient with Windows and Unix operating systems.
Ability to translate business process language into requirements and system design and to provide reliable time estimates and to handle multiple projects at one time.
Ideal candidate has proven leadership experience and project management skills.
Excellent understanding of project management processes and procedures for best practices and change management.
Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, most importantly in a cross-functional team environment.
