JOB

Oracle DBA (contract to hire)
We are seeking a senior-level team of qualified resources to manage and direct day-to-day operations, programming, administration and support for our Oracle relational database management system (RDBMS). These team members will support installs, upgrades, and maintain, monitor, and optimize production and non-production databases. In addition, team members will support installs, upgrades, and maintain, monitor, and optimize Oracle Grid Control 12c.

DBA skills needed:
· DBA experience supporting a Backup and Recovery strategy across a multi-site environment using RMAN
· DBA with extensive scripting skills (PL/SQL, SHELL, PERL) and experienced with database storage management, specifically ASM, partitioning, compression, and large table/index reorgs
· System DBAs experienced with supporting a multi-site Oracle Data Guard 10g/11g and Oracle RAC 10g/11g (operational focused tasks)

We need a deep understanding, experience, and skill sets that include the following:
a) Database monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning
b) Backup/recovery
c) Database ILM and partition maintenance
d) Optimization of database access and allocation/re-allocation database resources for optimum configuration, database performance, and cost
e) Management of allocated disk space usage and memory allocation for database management systems
f) Management of schema changes and implementations
g) Administration of database security
h) Housekeeping on defunct user accounts and historical data
i) Installation and maintenance of database products, including patch application and upgrades
j) Administration of Oracle Data Guard and Oracle ASM environments
k) Creation/Maintenance DBA PERL/SHELL/PLSQL scripts
l) Troubleshooting and development of solutions for problems related to database and interfaces
m) Coordination with software vendor technical support
n) Development and execution of back-up and recovery procedures
o) Periodic testing of the database backup and recovery plan
p) Coordination with application and system administration and vendors to synchronize activities, resolve development and maintenance issues, and perform application tuning
q) Audit user activity to ensure integrity and performance of the database
r) Establish standards, policies, and procedures for database administration
s) Coordinate and implement changes to development, test, and production environments
t) Implement and maintain multiple database environments, including logical/physical design and modeling
u) Proficient database development and design skills
v) GoldenGate replication monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning
w) Backup and recovery of GoldenGate replication
x) Administration of GoldenGate replication security
y) Install and maintain GoldenGate products, including patch application and upgrade of the environments
z) Establish standards, policies, and procedures for GoldenGate replication administration

1. The database environment is generally composed of Oracle 10g, Oracle 11g, GoldenGate, DataGuard, Oracle Grid Control, RAC, ASM and OEM.
2. There are approximately 350+ Oracle instances in development, test, and production environments.
3. Databases exist in a UNIX environment is generally composed of AIX systems.
