Sr. C# .NET Development Manager (Scrum) (BBBH1080) Austin, Texas

We are a leading provider of mobile customer relationship management (mCRM) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions in downtown Austin. Our award-winning solutions allow clients to interact with their consumers by mobile channel of choice all within one easy-to-use platform.


You will take ownership in all code produced in-house by you, junior developers, and offshore development teams. You will lead development through full product lifecycles, and produce and release code in a structured enterprise-level production environment. Ideally you have experience with Team Foundation Server and can maximize the benefit of that platform. You’ve also used or are eager to learn about cloud architectures such as Azure and EC2. Initially in this role you will spend about 50% time coding, 25% architecting, and 25% leading 4 teams of developers. So you must love to code and also lead others.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead development of next generation of product software, using latest cloud and .NET technologies
· Act as code steward for all code produced, and be responsible for overall code quality
· Mentor junior developers as to increase team productivity and skillsets
· Work with project managers to understand business requirements
· Regulate proper usage of Team Foundation Server and build procedures
· Work with QA Engineers to supervise development of unit tests


You are 100% comfortable with all facets of the .NET 4.0 framework, and are a master at refactoring. You know the differences between .NET 3.0, .NET 3.5, and .NET 4.0. You have strong opinions about Web Forms vs. MVC and could write a book on the good, bad, and ugly about LINQ vs ADO.NET vs Entity Framework.

Skills and Experience:

· Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and 7+ years of related experience
· 5+ years experience .NET, ASP.NET, and WCF solutions
· Experience with all phases of the SDLC
· Expert knowledge of C#
· Comfortable working with VB.NET / converting code to C#
· Strong understanding of web technologies, including SOAP, WCF, XML, HTTP, etc…
· Strong WebForms and MVC3
· Expert working knowledge of Visual Studio 10
· Strong understanding of relational database design, SQL Server, LINQ to SQL, and Entity Framework
· Expert knowledge of SQL
· Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
· Comfortable writing stored procedures in SQL Server
· Extensive experience using the ASP.NET membership database / familiarity with claims-based authentication
· Experience working with and designing for Content Management Systems
· Working knowledge of IIS 7

Desired Skills and Experience:

· Experience developing Mobile Websites a big plus
· Experience developing iOS and/or Android applications a plus
· Experience using Team Foundation Server a plus
· Familiarity with Amazon EC2 or Windows Azure cloud
· Experience with Rackspace Cloud Sites and Rackspace Cloud Servers
· Advanced knowledge of SQL Server 2008 a plus
· Experience working with iterative (Agile / Scrum) software
