Education Manager £36-45k (Maternity Contract)

Job Overview:

The company is keen on attracting the right mix of skills, talent and experience. The successful person will have the acumen to manage key responsibilities and accountabilities such as:

  • Contribute to the developmental, operational and technical aspects of skill-based qualifications with the emphasis on Communication/Literacy. This will involve centre accreditation and monitoring, quality assurance etc;
  • Manage and oversee educational and technological issues associated with the development of electronic tasks and tests, online assessment and e-moderation and the impact of innovative types of assessment on teaching and learning;
  • Provide advice on the use of teaching and learning technologies/methodologies;
  • Be responsible for planning and managing any pilot or trialling arrangements, the annual support programme, centre support and customer care, the development of exemplar support materials and commercial textbooks, and website development;
  • Plus various other responsibilities

Your background:

Experience / Quals:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • 3 years’ experience of teaching or supporting the delivery of Communication/Literacy and/or English in an education service;
  • Curriculum and/or assessment development;
  • Managing or leading teams;
  • Working with a range of educational partners or stakeholders;
  • Planning, organising and managing significant tasks to achieve time critical targets and objectives;
  • Presenting or training;
  • Developing and supporting any form of service;
  • Applying and using technology in the delivery of services.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentational).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Competent with ICT.

Plus access to a form of transport that will allow the post holder to fulfil the duties of the post.
