Prestigious London based client requires a Technical Architect to join their technical design and delivery team. This is a pivotal role within the team and will involve you working closely with solutions architects, business analyst and platform engineers. This team will need to provide a platform which can support through a rapid growth and the Technical Architect will support on the large-scale transformation programme.
• Overall responsibility for the technical design of solutions to support the platforms requirements, based largely on the Microsoft Azure, Dynamics, Workday and integration platform suite.
• Assist in developing and implementing a technical strategy for our global, single-instance ERP/HR systems, related systems and integrations.
• Assist in defining technical scope and size of work for projects relating to Finance and Peoples systems. Author technical design documentation that fully defines all application code and the underlying methodology for the design decisions made.
• Review, to the extent possible, code changes and determine production environmental impact.
• Works with Project Manager and PMO to develop project schedules and testing estimates to ensure on-time completion of development activities.
• Lead design discussions to define goals and objectives for upgrade and new projects.
• Work on assigned tasks/projects to support existing D365 ERP deployment as required or assigned by the Scrum Master. Work on assigned tasks/projects to support the upcoming redeployment of our ERP system as Dynamics for Operations (D365) in the Microsoft Azure cloud.
• Act as a gate keeper of code being moved into production to ensure quality. Document and execute test plans, test cases, test results, and issue tracking. Investigate, develop and test solutions that will improve system performance and stabilization. Own Performance analysis and resolutions

Essential

• Proven experience in the successful delivery of complex, highly performing and high-quality software systems. Specifically, proven experience in Dynamics AX / D365 systems & Azure would be essential, as well as a desire to gain more experience within that business area
• A background in software engineering
• Experience and understanding of variety of delivery practices
• Proven experience of leading projects through the full application lifecycle
• Established areas of interest that you keep up to date on in the industry, continuously improve on
• Proven experience of working with 3rd party systems and organisations
• Deep technical knowledge and competency up to date and current with Microsoft AX best practice guidelines for AX
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Full Dynamics implementation lifecycle experience
• Dynamics Infrastructure and build/release experience
• Azure configurations & resource
• Strong Integration Experience including SOA/ESB knowledge
• SQL Architecture including DB/TSQL knowledge: Including Dynamics Perf exp
• Dynamics AX Development experience / Power BI / Reporting experience
• Dynamics DMF/Integrations services knowledge
• Experience defining interfaces between systems to form a cohesive solution.
• Awareness of different integration/message exchange patterns
• Appreciation of a variety of software design patterns across areas such as user interface design, data access, and service integration.
• Can articulate the associated business impact of design choices and decisions.
• Ability to assess 3rd party products and technologies, along with being able to evaluate whether to take a build or buy approach.
• Experienced at effectively communicating technical designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
