Application Readiness Architect
My London based client is looking for an Application Readiness Architect to provide Design, Architecture and Implementation of Application Readiness processes, in support of a global VDI Migration. The Application Readiness Architect will be responsible for providing technical leadership to define and implement improvements to the Windows Application Onboarding process as well as involve developing and driving design decisions to consensus across Programme stakeholders
• Work with client stakeholders (CTO, Engineering, Operations, Security, LOB representatives etc) to ensure designs are validated against broader strategic, operational and security objectives
• Work closely with related Programme teams to identify and manage technical dependencies
• Working with a dedicated Professional Services team alongside client staff, assess the current Onboarding process and prioritise improvement measures to ensure:
o Application issues are identified prior to deployment e.g. performance / platform compatibility. Automation opportunities are maximised throughout the process through toolset selection or where necessary bespoke development/integration
o Process elements are optimised and integrated in accordance with standard change, security and compliance requirements
o Capacity and metrics are aligned to change initiatives, specifically VDI Migration activities
o Support the design and implementation of improvements to the current VDI Platform migration process to enhance test processes
• Validate Designs through client governance processes (CTO, Security, Compliance, Risk, Operational)
• Support the development of optimised operational processes through the solution design process
• Production of HLD, LLD and associated PTO processes to support the implementation of the design to POC. Instantiating iterative design, engineering, test and release processes – to deliver the solution as a POC. Actively participate in required governance processes internal and external to the Programme as required
Essential:
• Solid experience as an Architect delivering major End User transformations with at least 1 successful project, at a global financial services organisation.
• Must have experience of at least 2 global platform transformations at different organisations
• Must have industry awareness with implementation experience of multiple primary vendor solutions and must be objective in terms of vendor selection in line with Client requirements
• Expert level understanding of all the major components of the application packaging, provisioning and delivery process and the associated solution landscape i.e. AppV, MSIx, SCCM, ServiceNow etc.
• Expert level understanding of all major integration points i.e. Entitlements Management, Authentication, CMDB, Naming services, Monitoring etc
• Expert level understanding of Application Readiness design and associated process integration as it relates to platform migration i.e. Candidacy, Scheduling, Process Integration
• Expert level understanding, to an engineering level, of application package integration, and have the ability to determine and resolve issues i.e. performance management
• Experience of Juriba including process design and instantiation
• Good level of understanding and experience of developing solutions to meet Global Financial security, risk and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management, able to work across all levels of the organisation effectively – experience of working to C-level staff
• Expert understanding of operational processes as they relate to efficiently managing platforms in complex global environments with professional experience of changing operational process e.g. testing and release management
