Project Engineer – Cisco Network Design/Datacentre
Prestigious London based client requires an accomplished Project Engineer with solid cisco network design experience to join their Enterprise Network Services Project Engineering team. The Project Engineer’ responsibilities will include network design and network solution development based on engineering standards. The Cisco Network Engineer will be part of a team that will design and develop enterprise network solution using Switching, Routing, Wireless, and Wide Area Network systems as well as design and implement network connectivity solutions based on business requirements.
Essential:
• CCNP required
• Must have experience in Cisco Routing & Switching in a Data Centre environment
• Cisco Network Engineer will have solid experience with large enterprises, technology vendors, or systems integrators, designing, and implementing data network solutions
• Possess strong analytical/organizational skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco Switched Layers 2 & 3 and Cisco Routers 3925E, 2951, 1921, ASR1K, CRS-1/4/8
• Financial services sector experience, a benefit.
• Apply and enforce the security best practices across all connectivity solutions.
• Familiar with change request process at large enterprises and/or Financials Services.
• Support network Moves/Adds/Changes to provision new services.
• Provide Level-3 support for network related issues. Willing to provide support during maintenance windows and work flexible hours.
• Design, configure, troubleshoot campus/branch, datacenter, WAN environment.
• Ability to produce accurate technical documents to include network diagrams, implementation plans, migration plans, etc.
• Review existing firewall rules usages and patterns.
• Experience performing network data captures and analysis with tools such as Wireshark, Corvil, etc.
• Lead and participate in group projects with global as well as regional team members.
• Deployment experience also required
