Business Process Analyst with Compliance - 16695 (BBBH367) Sunnyvale, California

Working within the HR Operations team you will be responsible for managing a variety of internal and external compliance and systems activities and initiatives.


  • Lead SOX efforts for various HR related initiatives and cadence activities
  • Act as HR liaison with key internal stakeholders including audit, legal and finance.
  • Audit personal/employment changes and other data entry activities on a consistent basis
  • Communicate performance improvement results and challenges throughout to Shared Services and HR Solutions leaders
  • Assists in developing and implementing programs designed to increase stakeholder awareness and knowledge of compliance issues, performance improvement procedures and techniques
  • Act as HR data steward evaluating security levels and system access requests (E.g. Workday)
  • Maintain the HR Compliance Grid (management controls) and narratives for finance auditors
  • Research and prepare compliance reports globally (EEO, AAP, OFCCP)
  • Assist in responding to inquiries from federal / state compliance agencies in the US
  • Suggest methods to update, simplify, improve, and enhance processes, procedures, technologies and data
  • Workday Activities
  • Assist in development of Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIBs)
  • Coordinate the Workday release process including opening, assigning, tracking and closure of Workday support issues, brainstorms, and enhancements
  • Work with Release Team members to ensure timely resolution of issues, identify gaps and re-assign issues as needed
  • Research, resolving and/or escalate Tier 2 support issues as necessary
  • Collect and analyze data and process metrics from Core HR Applications, recommend improvements, and/or drive improvement efforts to increase productivity in relation to shared services processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in information technology, human resources, business administration or related subject required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Must demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive issues to completion
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work against critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and independent with ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and demands
  • Ability to work with teams across multiple time zones and geographic locations
  • Ability to understand technical issues at a sufficiently deep level to identify gaps
  • Strong verbal and written communication and follow up skills, including ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
  • Problem and conflict solving abilities, influencing people across organization and levels.

Preferable Background/Experience

  • Experience with all areas of global HR compliance including SOX and US federal and state regulations, including Affirmative Action, EEO, OFCCP, FLSA, FMLA, and ADA
  • Experienced with Workday HCM system including creating security & business process configurations, Report Writer and Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
  • Experience leading projects/project management
  • Knowledge of shared services environment
