Electrical Maintenance Engineer (JP/EME) Rotherham, England

Salary: 39 days holiday, pension

Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer.

Location: Rotherham.

Shifts: Various shifts available, days and nights.

Salary: £30,000 to £40,200, days or shifts plus 39 days holiday, up to 16% pension contribution, excellent career progression.

Producing and supplying a variety of high-value precision-engineered products for Aerospace, Oil and Gas, Industrial Engineering, Bar and Narrow Strip.

  

About the role:

Our client have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to assist in the efficient operation of the electrical function. Reporting to the team leader / shift engineer, you will follow routine planned maintenance schedules, reporting to breakdowns and offer reactive and preventative maintenance to electrical plant when required.

To be successful you will need:

  • Hold a Recognised Electrical apprenticeship (HNC/ONC level or equivalent)
  • Maintenance of PLC and SCADA systems, including the use of programming tools to identify faults (Preferably Rockwell)
  • Previous experience of completing work under calibration and industrial systems
  • Experience of fault finding of electronic cards to component level
  • Experience of Electrical maintenance of Motors, Drives (to 1000kW), Inverters and Overhead crane maintenance AC and DC
  • Previous use of a variety of  systems with a working knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems and other applications, which are widely used by the Engineering function
  • 17th Edition IET regulations
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and work with technical data
  • Previous experience of PPM and reporting of PPM activities and breakdowns
  • Previous experience working with HV systems
  • Experience of working in confined spaces and at heights
  • A good understanding and knowledge of Health Safety Legislation with experience of adhering to SWP’s, risk assessments, procedures and permit systems
  • Good level of problem solving awareness
