Junior Quality Technician required for our client based in Coleshill, Birmingham. I am looking to recruit someone who wants to move their career forward into the quality arena.
You will be working in a department which is responsible for the design development of new products, management of the product range, process improvements and ensuring the quality meets the requirements of our customers.
Quality takes a high priority within the business due to the high standards required for the rail and hazardous area markets.
Job Purpose
Working as part of a small team you will supporting the day to day function of the Quality Department.
This will include carrying out routine inspections, maintain the company’s calibration system and supporting the department in the implementation of process improvements.
As part of the continuous improvement culture of our client, they would like to you to take an active role in making suggestions & delivering improvements in all areas of the business.
This is a junior role to begin with and the cleint will give you lots of opportunities & training where possible to develop your career in quality!
Key Responsibilities
• Management of the Company’s calibration system for gauges and measuring devices.
• Product inspections on a variety of products and processes and investigation/corrective actions of customer complaints, internal complaints and supplier issues.
• Training production staff in the correct usage of measurement equipment and inspections.
• Attend production meeting of behalf of the quality department.
• Maintain the customer returns area and ensure they are dealt with in a timely manner.
• Carry out internal systems & process audits.
