Chemist (R&D Pharmaceutical)

Experis is currently partnering with our client, a Pharmaceutical Manufacturer, to identify a talented R&D Chemist for a position in their Irvine, CA facility.

Requirements:

BS/Chemistry or Scientific field. Must have two years of experience within a pharmaceutical company, preferrably on the R&D/development side.

Proven technical/problem solving skills and hands-on experience with HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) and GC (Gas Chromatography) are required.

Understanding of different techniques and chemical analysis in pharmaceutical development such as wet chemistry, HPLC?PDAMS, GC/MS, FT-IR, UV-VIS
Excellent written verbal and written communication and organizational skills as well as good working knowledge of HPLC (Empower or ChemStation), Chromatography Data system are highly preferred.
Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectometry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), and environmental requlations.

Conduct analytical method developments/verification/validation, formulations, different analytical analyses. Performs, schedules, and coordinates a wide variety of testing in the analytical laboratory. Writes, collects, analyzes, organizes and compiles data and reports to provide information for use by upper management or to comply with regulatory requirements. Interfaces with a wide variety of disciplines to evaluate applicability of existing methods. Designs, conducts and evaluates scientific studies to develop and/or validate test methods.
