Job Summary:  

Position:  Supply Chain Parts Specialists

Essential Functions:

  • Work Expeditor Tool Priorities     
  • Expedite supplier schedules to meet sales demand and satisfy customer back orders
  • Perform weekly record maintenance in host system (AS 400)
  • Open order discrepancy reconciliation
  • Invalid order report reconciliation
  • Manage daily Transaction Code (TC) Audits and rejects

 

  • Work Mercia action items
  • Part record maintenance
  • Work with cross functional groups to resolve commercial contract issues to ensure integrity of inventory planning and stocking volumes

 

  • Follow bridge run schedules & long term buy schedules to closure
  • Support production withdrawals
  • Maintain part visibility and priority in Transportation Order Management System (TOMS)
  • Special customer order management - (Supplier follow-up related)
  • Execute supplier spot buys
  • Coordinate SPA letters & requests for shipper
  • Shipment tracking (pickup & delivery)
  • SPAC department inquiry support
  • Supplier ASN/TMS System Compliance
  • Answering inquiries from customers
  • Procurement support
  • Purchase requisition referral/WWP source inquiries
  • Verification of services to support invoice approval
  • Removal of parts from service (single part requests)
  • Request for Engineering changes (PD983)
  • Planning control variables (problem identification)
  • Part level  forecast adjustment requests
  • Source contact information updates in COCOMME
  • Supplier contract discrepancies (COCOMME vs. R15)

 

Scope and Accountability:

Applies principles, concepts, practices and standards in a professional manner to complete a variety of on-going assignments and projects. Analyzes quantitative information and applies professional judgment to resolve a variety of issues. Impacts team effectiveness through being responsible for the quality of their own work and potentially the work of others.

 

Knowledge:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management / Engineering / Business / Information Systems and / or related discipline or equivalent experience preferred.

 

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong systems aptitude and must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Lotus Notes and/or Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and experience in GM CCA IT systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of Operations and Supply Chain Management

 

Experience:    This position requires two years’ experience in customer service, preferably in supply chain industry.  A background in the mortgage or accounting field will be considered.  (Education may substitute for years of experience)
