Job Title: Fabricator / Welder / Sheet Metal Worker
Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire
Pay Rate: £10.00 - £16.00 per hour
Role: Temporary with potential to transfer permanently
Hours: 38 hours per week; Monday – Thursday 07.30 to 16.30 / Friday 07.30 to 12.30pm.
Fabricator / Welder / Sheet Metal Worker
This is an international engineering fabrication business which have taken on new projects globally are looking to expand their current work force. The company have fantastic growth plans due to the demand from clients. They are looking to take on a number of Fabricator / Welder / Sheet Metal Worker with experience of welding structural steel / mild steel / sheet metal and stainless steel working from drawings on a range of projects.
The Role
- Working from Technical drawings and diagrams.
- Carrying out MIG Welding predominantly with mild steel.
- Welding & fabricating materials used for structural fabrications.
- Fitting appropriate parts and carrying out build work.
- Working with machinery such as Plasma cutters.
- Brazing & Fabrication.
- Liaising with managers about new projects and designs.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a fabricator and welder working with heavy structural steel / mild steel / sheet metal production .
- Experience with MIG welding on multiple projects is essential.
- Welding on industrial containers, canopies, vents and boilers is advantageous.
- Experience operating machinery such as grinders, polishers, plasma cutters.
- Apprentice Trained, Time Served Apprentice, City & Guild’s or equivalent.
