Job Title: Technical writer
Duration: 9 month contract
Hours: 8am – 5pm / 40 hrs per week
Anticipated Start: Early November
Location: North-Vancouver

Overview:
Our client, an International Manufacturing company is looking for a Technical Writer for a 9 month contract to work to assist within their strategic business unit in the North-Vancouver office.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities:
The Technical Writer is responsible for writing a wide variety of manuals, procedures, work instructions and/or technical articles for products in the industrial sector.
Will be responsible for the coordinating the display of graphics and possibly the production of these documents.
Relies on some instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job but will also be responsibility for defining processes, instructions and guidelines as it pertains to job responsibilities.
Working within various product teams the Technical Writer will need to rely on sound judgment and good planning to accomplish multiple goals and priorities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent job experience
1-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Technical Writing field.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe Pro.
