Castle Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a fast-paced finance team located between Goole and Doncaster in East Yorkshire.

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, you will gain exposure and invaluable experience in the day to day operations of a busy manufacturing organisation.

The successful Assistant Management Accountant will already have gained strong experience in a finance environment. Experience in a manufacturing environment will be advantageous.

Reporting in to the Financial Controller your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the Financial Controller with general finance functions, specifically the preparation of month-end
• Monitoring T&A system, ensuring they are kept up to date across all departments
• Posting general accual journals at month end
• Reviewing and improvement current processes
• Reviewing any stock count discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of reported figures within the management accounts
• Assisting Financial Controller with statutory financial reporting
• Ad hoc duties as required by the Financial Controller/ Finance Director

To be considered for this exciting Assistant Management Accountant opportunity, you will:

• Be methodical and organised with excellent attention to detail
• Be currently studying towards an accounting qualification
• Be a confident user of MS Excel
• Experience using Sage would be advantageous
