Management Accountant

Castle Employment are looking for a confident, experienced Management Accountant to work for one of the region’s most prestigious manufacturing businesses based near York, North Yorkshire. Working as a Management Accountant you will be responsible for supporting the Finance Director in an exciting, challenging, hands on role which will allow you to work closely with key stakeholders across the business; challenging the status quo and shaping new processes.

• This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has attained or close to attaining their CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualification
• With a strong drive and a can- do attitude, you will be a team player able to support both internal and external customers in an efficient, professional manner
• Responsible for providing some financial accounting as well as management reporting support to the business as a whole

Requirements:

This role will suit a flexible and committed Management Accountant who is looking to build on and enhance their existing finance experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Duties will include; 

• Daily/Weekly reporting of maintenance costs, utility costs, transport costs and other overhead costs
• Monthly P&L reporting to include all costs
• Balance Sheet management and reconciliations
• Control of fixed asset register, to include the creation of projects and the tracking/reporting of spend against projects
• To provide management information as requested and be able to develop new reporting
• Creating budgets and forecasts as required on overhead and capital spend
• Provide daily operational support on the management of purchase orders and invoices, including managing the GRNI
• Production of year-end audit file

The successful candidate for the Management Accountant role will:

• Possess a high degree of computer literacy - including MS Excel to an advanced level (SAP system desirable)
• Have previous experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing environment ideally FMCG
• Have excellent communication skills with the ability to resolve queries at all levels
• Have the ability to identify process flaws and solutions
• Hold or be actively working towards CIMA / ACCA qualification or equivalent
