Castle Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting on an exclusive basis for a Finance Director to join the leadership team of an award-winning owner managed business based on the North Yorkshire coast.

Reporting into the CEO, key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Taking a strategic lead on finance for the business
• Playing a key role in challenging the other directors to focus on the right things at the right time that deliver bottom line profit around one set of common KPI’s and goals
• Driving efficiencies across the business, ensuring quality and consistency of systems and processes
• Leading on acquisitions and merger situations; completing due diligence and financial negotiations
• Manage a small finance team and ensure accurate financial reporting is completed in a timely and efficient manner

To be considered for this Finance Director position and be successful in post, you will need the following:

• CIMA/ACCA/ or ACA qualification (or working towards)
• Previous experience within an SME
• Previous track record of successfully growing a profitable business
• Commercial focus
• Passion and drive to challenge the status quo and take the business to the next level
• Ability to set own deadlines and work without supervision
• Previous managerial experience
• Strong systems knowledge
