Castle Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for an experienced Chartered Accountant to join a prestigious local firm. The key difference to this role, compared with other Senior Accountant positions available, is that you will be fully responsible for your own client portfolio, developing and growing it, whilst developing a broad variety of skills. The firm also offer a variety of business advice services so you will be able to utilise all of your skills to genuinely help your clients grow, rather than simply providing them with a set of accounts. There is also a real opportunity to fast-track to partner level for the right candidate.
Key duties:
- Overseeing a portfolio of general practice clients up to £multi-million turnover.
- Limited company accounts preparation.
- Audit – planning, undertaking and reviewing as well as client meetings.
- Providing business advice such as new start-ups and growth strategies.
- Corporate Tax calculations.
- VAT returns.
- Be competent using MS Office, QuickBooks/Sage/Xero/SAP/IRIS/Excel/manual record keeping.
- Any other ad-hoc duties and projects in support of the Senior Management Team.
An experienced, qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/ICAEW) you will be personable and approachable with high standards to your work and a ‘can-do’ attitude. You will need to have a successful track record in accountancy practice to be considered for this position, ideally with additional experience of external audit work. To be successful in this role you will need to want to get involved with your clients, develop relationships with them and be motivated to deliver the best possible service you can.
