Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger (BK3361) York, England

Salary: Dependant on experience

Castle Accountancy and Finance are recruiting for a multi-skilled Accounts Assistant to support the accounts function of a company based in the Malton/York area

 

The role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Purchase ledger - coding, matching, posting, payment runs
  • Maintaining spreadsheets on excel and providing data analysis
  • Processing a high volume of transactions across the company, ensuring all invoices are correctly calculated (including VAT)
  • Chase all invoice approval and post in Excel to import to Sage
  • Provide cover for sales ledger and other areas of accounts team as and when required
  • Generate age creditor reports and taking appropriate action
  • Manage disputed invoices
  • Assist with preparation of month-end reports and audits

The successful candidate will:

 

  • Preferably have AAT qualification or equivalent
  • Have previous similar experience in an Accounts Assistant or Purchase Ledger role
  • Be familiar with Sage Line 50/200
  • Have advanced MS Excel knowledge
  • Be organised, motivated and have good time management skills to meet pre-arranged deadlines
  • Have previous experience of working in a busy environment
