Castle Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for a confident, experienced qualified or part-qualified Accountant to work for one of the region’s most prestigious manufacturing businesses based in Malton, North Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has recently attained or is close to attaining their CIMA or ACCA qualification.

With a strong drive and a can- do attitude, you will be a team player able to support both internal and external stakeholders in an efficient, professional manner

Requirements:

This role will suit a flexible and committed Accountant who is looking to build on and enhance their existing finance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities will include; 

• Work closely with and support colleagues to ensure timely completion of the month end process
• Preparation of month end accounts and reporting on variance to forecast
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Review of balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of quarterly audit file
• Preparation of budgets
• Consolidation of weekly actual and flash results and explanation of variances
• Preparation of statutory accounts
• Liaise with external auditors for interim and full year audit
• Additional ad hoc tasks and reporting to support the finance team

The successful candidate for the Accountant role will:

• Possess a high degree of computer literacy - including MS Excel to an advanced level (SAP system desirable)
• Have previous experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing environment ideally FMCG
• Have excellent communication skills with the ability to resolve queries at all levels
• Have the ability to identify process flaws and solutions
• Hold or be actively working towards completion of CIMA / ACCA qualification or equivalent
