Purchase Ledger Clerk (BK3402) Scarborough, England

Salary: GBP8 - GBP9.5 per hour

Castle Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk in the Scarborough area. The role of Purchase Ledger Clerk will provide support for a fast-paced and growing business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Management of purchase ledgers, accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments
  • Coding, matching and batching high volumes of invoices 
  • Supplier statement reconciliations and dealing with supplier queries
  • Maintenance and reconciliation of control accounts including month end reporting and management of the month end process

The successful Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk will have:

  • Relevant experience in a busy accounts department
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Office; particularly strong Excel skills; and experience of accountancy software such as Sage
  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for accuracy and detail
  • Confident communication skills with a professional telephone manner to deal with customers and suppliers
  • Willingness and flexibility to support wider tasks arising within a small team

Our client is based in the Scarborough area, easily commutable from Bridlington, Malton, Driffield and surrounding areas.
